what size SX Trail?

I am looking at buying a 2009 SX trail but was wondering what size to get. I am 5'11 and would be using it for everything from DH to the odd XC ride. Would a medium fit well or is a large a better option? Also can you recommend any alternatives to the SX? thanks

im afraid there is no stockist close to me so i was wondering if anybody could help. I am about to buy a medium one tomorrow and need to travel 1h30 to go and see it so id like some knowledge to help save a wasted journey. Thanks0
