Went to derby today for an interview and decided to use bike from station. Asked him for inside knowledge and his awesomely detailed instructions were bob on.

Top fella.

How did the interview go? Mackworth is not the nicest part of Derby but it's on the outskirts and near some fantastic cycling country (right near where I took the 'fat boy tour')

The run from the Station is fairly straight forward with only two nasty sections, and basically a nice stretch of straight road direct to where you needed to be - so the instructions weren't too hard to suss :)

Glad you found the place okay though!

As far as one can ever tell, seemed to go ok, but you never know! The job is with the council, and won't be based at mackworth, they were just using the conference facilities for the assessment centre

had fun on the way back as due to roadworks somehow ended up on the inner ring road. Which was nice!

    Anyway cheers again.

Arse - should've told you about that!

After you do the sharp left / right / left bit. You get off at the ped / bike crossing and go down the shared path on the right of the college. Then straight on and that brings you back to where you needed to be.

    Whoops!

Good luck with the job :)

(Oh, and as an aside: I used to do the IT Support for the Council 'til we lost the contract)
