Recycling cassettes & chains ?

Does anyone bother, and if so where do you recycle them?
Seems a waste to just chuck them in the landfill.
Though I'm not certain the old cassette needed replacing. I just went with the rule that I was way over 1% worn on the chain (and it was sagging badly) and best advised to change the cassette. Visually it looks okay, though I'm not sure what to look for. No teeth broken from what I can see though.

they go in the metals bin. and then to the recycling center."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yep just take em down to your council recyling centre and chuck it in the metals bin.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
D'oh! Good point. Forgot they had metals bins .
Will have to wait until it's worth the effort going to the place and sitting in a queue for half an hour. So probably will sit in the shed for the next 10 years like the rest of my junk0
