Hi Guys
A work collegue is looking at getting a new bike for commuting to work and is looking at the trek portland.
Does anyone have this bike? What is is like?
He only commutes about 6 miles each way but wants something faster than his mountain bike but ideally wants something with some disc brakes
Are there any other similar bikes about that people can suggest.

The Genesis Croix De Fer seems to get mentioned a lot round here, same £ as the Portland and IMO looks nicer:
