You could consider that the 2 leading contenders, Brown and Cameron are such a pair of tools, that people simply don't know what to do. Clegg has turned up in what essentially are his first two major opportunities to show who he is to the public as a whole and has given the perception that he may actually be a thoroughly decent chap and possibly even a viable alternative. I doubt it though, I seriously can't see people voting the lib dems in, no matter what the polls are saying, even though some actually place them as the leaders currently.
As sonic said, hung parliament all the way. No chance there is going to be a clear majority.0
