Hello all,

Never serviced a front wheel hub just wondered how to do it and if there are any guides online how to do it. I have a Lapierre Spicy 316 2009 with a screw through front axle. There does not appear to be any way to get it apart or am I missing somethng. Pics attached.

Cheers

After having no luck getting my front hub apart I took the bike to the shop while I was on holiday. Picked it up yesterday and they have told me that the hub is a sealed unit and they cant get it apart.
So it was off to Evans today where I got the bike from to try a warranty claim but they seem to think they can get into the hub. So I have to wait untill tuesday now for the results.
If they fail then it will be a warranty claim and hopefully a deal on a Hope Pro II.

    Cheers

the cups are held in place by press fit rings. just needs them (cups) knocking out from the inside. IE hit the bearings and the whole lot come out.

fit new bearings. position cups. press rings back in. done.

Will have a look at that today but where are these rings located. Have looked at many a how to online and they all seem to be on the ends of the cups. Mine dont have any. Also looks like a right job to get them knocked out as the hole for the axle is almost smooth internally, you can only just feel where the bearings are by putting you finger in so not sure how best or what tool to use to knock them out.
