60+ year old attacks 80 year old

They can't even blame the "yoof" culture :lol:

TBH, there is not much detail, but it seems something of an overreaction to a simple toot on the horn...

That's what I thought. Maybe the knew each other or something happened a few moments before they met at the lights.

I doubt the 80 year old really needed to honk his horn so the cyclists knew he was there. If he's anything like any of the ones I've been stuck behind he wont have driven fast enough to get anywhere near them.

But that does seem a tad excessive.

The attacker ...... was wearing a red, white and blue cycle helmet and lycra clothing.

Should be easy to spot then
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • He sounded his horn to let them know he was there

Why does this sound like a one-sided account of the story?

A man in his mid 60's , particularly if he is a keen cyclist, is no fair match for an 80 year old.
There is no excuse for hitting him. Tell him off if he needs it. Report him perhaps. Attacking an 80 year old man is the actions of a cowardly bully.
    Not good

But perhaps a keen cyclist who is described ad being in his mid-sixties is actually much older? Like I said earlier, this sounds like a very one-sided account. Who knows what was said by the kindly old gent whilst sounding his horn to alert the cyclists of his presence, or what had just happened before.

The kindly old gent may well have been a bitter old lunatic who drives like a 17 year old boy on his way to judge a bikini contest, there is still never any excuse to strike him. 80 year olds are nearly always frail and the cyclist, mid 60's or mid 70's should have been more restrained.
17 year old bikini judges on the other hand need a damn good pounding purely on the basis of my jealousy
