Question on cables/outers on Avid BB7 Disc Brakes ?

Are the cables and outers on Avid BB7 Disc brakes the same as standard road gear cables and outers ?

    Aren't they the same as standard BRAKE outers?
    More problems but still living....

    are standard brake outers bigger than gear outers ? what are the standard dimensions there ?

    Gear and brake outers are constructed differently - gears generally have the metal strands lengthwise whereas brakes are spiral. For cable disc brakes, suggest you go for some stiffer outers like Goodrich for optimum performance.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
