And welcome to Thursday. :D

Got an eye appointment this afternoon, so another half day - Woohoo. The only down side, is no riding or driving for 4 hours after the appointment. :(

Still, weather's awesome, might just chill in the garden later. Which you just know will lead to a major fettling session... :D

where is this week disapering too?
Well its gorgeous outside and i'm stuck in the bunker all day, hopefully i'll get a ride in tonight, i might even shoot home at lunch, pick up the 29er and go off road home? (about 13 miles on the road, probably more off as non direct)
feeling good today with no real reason, i'm on red alert now from the wife as we only have 4 weeks to go until the latest bundle turns up?

i havent orderd anything for the bikes all week and it feels odd?

i think what it is that i spend 12 hiours a day at work, 2 hours at home being talked at by the wife, then and hour walk with dog then the rest of the time commuting and the odd bit of sleep. (all done whilst eating and on here) so it goes very quickly.

i was rudely awoken by a mahooosive explosion at the local metal works about 500 yards down the road from me  the smoke was agood 300 foot in the air at one point and bits of metal and shite have landed all over the garden, some of it looked like volcanic ash, which given the circumstances atm i thought was abit worrying

Now, i'm not proud of what i've done, but i'm going to have to come to terms with it and battle on

Itinerary so far is; put the washing out, cut the lawn, walk the hound then i think it would be rude if i didnt pop up and have a spin on the new Monkey at Cannock 8)

    Morning all,

Yet more sun outside, I think that deserves a little “Woop”. :D

Couple of scalps on the way in this morning, nothing too major, but always nice to go by a couple of peeps.

Watched This is Spinal Tap last night, very weird film, but very funny.

Think I’m going for a trip to the Golden Arches at lunchtime, so will have to ride home extra quick to burn it all off.

    Is it 5 yet?

Lovely sunny day here. Going to pop down to the lbs and pick up a new bush for the shocker. Brakes have been sorted already and then.....

Have another brew, refit shock, maybe have a brew and a snack. By which time the sun should have warmed the ground up and set off on a trail linking expedition.

very skint at the mo so the weeks are dragging, nothing really to look forward too. Bits n bobs but only the most needed and nothing that is desired.

    Shops open must rush off.

  • I bled my brakes last night, I've been meaning to get round to it since I bought them, but never been bothered.
Couple this with the new pads I've just fitted and it very nearly resulted in a number of over-the-bar moments this morning. Must get used to this before the weekend.

Also, the next cnut who decides it's alright to pass me leaving a 1cm gap on a 30mph stretch of road (hill) when I'm already doing in excess of that is getting D-locked, end of!

Busy day today, but after today, I'm not working again until mid-week next week. And then I do a couple of days and I'm off again for another week for my birthday. Result!

Has no-one told you 'the rules'? You're on a bike, therefore no matter how fast you're actually going, cars will always try to overtake. Because they're cars, so they're faster than bikes.

I've had the same thing, on a long hill that I can keep at 35mph on in a 30 zone. Cars get next to you, and after a few seconds think "I've been overtaking for ages, he must be behind me now" and pull back in. That's when they get a handlebar through the passenger window and a shoe in the door panel!

LOL, I feel your pain and you/re right, movement is not good... the way I see it you need to get 2 beers/drink of choice, but TWO ONLY.

Pour into ice cold glass, sit and chillax in the sun and consume. Then a little 'nap' later after some food and jobs a goodun

This method has worked for me for over 20 years, it's the ONLY way to feel better (read 'hair of the dog')

So MTFU and have another drink, don't want any of that "Ooohh I couldnt stomach another drink"

    Afternoon all
Great morning back on dry land .Dropped kids at school dropped car in garage for service, then coffee with afriend while watching the world go by. Followed with a purchase of a new 22" monitor-using it now, ace. Fixed problems on daughter's lap top. Found missing lead for her camera.
Ahh peace and quiet of home life.
But best of all it's sunny :D
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!
