    there anywhere good to ride in merthyr? i've never thought about coming up that way to ride :D

    And there are many great riding spots around there... i know cuz iv been greenlaning up that way a few times... just yet to explore by bike...

    i was stereotyping the welsh vellerys attitude... anything beyond the valley is miles away.... :wink::D:lol:

    i know plenty of people who have grans/aunty's the like who died litteraly never having left their own valley or even town.....

    Tried to buy a jacket in Merthyr once.
    Didn't like the 3 sleeves it had.

    ( Notice: This in an "Adaptable Joke". It can be applied to Fishguard, Bethesda, Splott,
    Cwmbran, Rhyl...anywhere in Wales in fact ! )

    Have a look at the map. The brecon beacons could have been named the Merthyr Beacons; epic XC. Any off road routes south of Brecon (eg The Gap) could be equally routed north of Merthyr.

    Gethin is very god not only the DH track the whole woods is covered in single track mostly sheep track (waiting for the jokes) with some very steep decents.

    i know that, i drive up to brecon a lot with work and know what's beyond merthyr. i was thinking of merthyr itself :D
