Hey everyone. Thought I would share a few shots of my local trails.
Some from Golspie, some from my Local Climb up a Cnoc called "Fyrish"
Didn't know which thread to put these in so here they are!
At the top of the "Lactic Ladder" in Golspie:
Heading down the Black Run at Golspie:
At the Fyrish Monument in Ross-Shire:
A random from Balblair, Kyle of Sutherland:

I was up at Golspie a couple of weeks ago, it's some climb but worth it and that is one big statue at the top!

i was up at golspie last week for the third time. it's just superb. everything from big swoopy turns and drop to techy damp forest. just finish with the biggest smile and wishing i had the energy to do it again!
skinnys at the end are a bit tricky mind you!0 -

thats afan black run! not exactly exotic!
well not for me... maybe you English pansies find that kind of thing a bit fruity i dont know...I like bikes and stuff0 -
mmmmm rocks!!!! If only all trail centres were like this!Craig Rogers0

Did it have to be exotic? Although to be fair it was the first black run I'd ever done anywhere, and I found it really tame.0

A schools holidays post! Junior out on the local trails (the flatter bit) he can't handle the climbs further along the track, but then he's only 8.[/img]0 -
hta because these days most black runs are really tame.
Take a look at coed y. and Landeglla lovely fun trails but hte balcks are not wortht he rep, and the reds are just too easy... Witht eh rating systems someone is gonna come a croppa from thinking there amazing riding blacks till they hit a real one then they willl possibly die..0 -

i was up that way on 29 march,as was staying at nairn just outside inverness for the week on holiday, didnt goto Golspie even tho i was told it was good, decided to try balblair after seeing it featured in mbr, only rode 4 trail centres before, been to dalby which is a hour down the road from me,sherwood, grizedale and stainburn, and none of these have ever made me have a grin on my face like balblair did, pity its a 10 hour drive away from me0 -
GrayDawg, nice pics. Here's some of my pics you might recognise...
It's a great part of the UK for biking up there, I look forward to Christmas and getting out there. Especially trying to keep up with the Fyrish boys :-)0 -
That snowy one is nice.0

Cheers guys! Biking with the camera is one of life's great pleasures I think. It's a cracking area for biking up there, just don't tell everyone http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/images/ ... iggrin.gif0
