I`m thinking of buying a C02 canister system. They seem suitable to pop in a saddle bag saving weight and space what do you use and could you recommend something worth buying?.Thanks.

Air chuck and non branded bottles. Get a foam sleeve too, as they get cold when the air is let out.

search C02 for a thread with a tyre inflator type address that does them cheap.

Airchuck SL is the only reliable one I've found.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • I've not carried a traditional pump in years. I use the Ultraflate Plus, I prefer the fact the cartridge is sealed, no frozen hands. Plus the trigger allows you to control the flow. I usually have a cartridge inside (but not punctured), plus one (or maybe two) others in a saddle bag. The Ultraflate plus takes threaded or unthreaded carts up to 16g.

Ultraflate plus has been fine since I bought it in 08. Only need to carry the head piece if you use threaded cartridges.
