Vapour trails overhead today

I saw two aircraft flying west high over south Wales this afternoon, one after the other. Then nothing else all day long. Four engined airliners, that is.

Wondered if the airspace restriction had been lifted. Apparently not...

What d'ya reckon? Rendition flights? Rich Arabs off on a jolly?

    Test Flights. The airlines are desperate to get their flights resumed so have been sending aircraft up on test flights to show that their engines aren't being damaged.
    BA flew one from the UK, over Ireland and back a couple of days ago with Willie Walsh, the head of BA, on board.
