Pannier bags and racks - compatibility?

Hey all. Sorry, I realise panniers have been covered many times but I'm confused. Is there an established standard bag/rack size and fitments? I'm considering going down this route and quite like the following Brand-X bags:

The price is appealing but I'm only after a small double setup like these. My question is, what rack would be appropriate to fit these (as well as the confusion over standard fittings etc).

I ride a Trek 7.5 FX hybrid which has plenty of rack mounting gubbins :)

Thanks in advance :)

Should be fine with any normal (ie mounts onto rack mounts, made of tubular metal, not a beam rack which attaches to the seatpost) rack.

    Panniers are great.

    That is all.

Thanks LiT :) That's good to know. They're going on the birthday list then!
