This is the first time it's ''happened''. Wonder if there's a reason for it to fly around there?

I imagine it's looking for a nesting site and thinks that below the gutter outside your window would make a good place.
Put up a bird box and you'll probably solve the problem.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I think it's a territorial thing - they see their reflection and try to fight it - retards!

Might put one up, but that would involve hanging out my window....maybe not...

Haha, it does peck on the window so maybe it's trying to kill the reflection? Might venture onto a bird forum, see what they think...

I'd advise against building a bird box or anything. If they start breeding etc on your window sill and start making even more noise then you'll want to move them. If they're protected specied you'll be screwed as you won't be able to move them!!

We've got an 'adopted' little cat (female) she's like a tiny panther, however, being young she gets into things she cannot get out of.

Climbed the tree in our garden to get a Magpie, then 4 more turned up and 'turned on her' but she was stuck up the tree and was valiantly trying to fend them off, then this big feck-off crow turned up so I went out and shooed them away as they were going to peck her out of the tree/attack....

Shes a lovely little thing but dozy!!!

All of ours are rescue cats, so they are shy/lazy. One is 13 yrs old and showing no sign of aging!

I think all ours would run away from a magpie, let alone chase it!
