TT tyres and tubes

I can't afford new TT wheels at the moment so I'll have to stick with my Most Shall wheels, but I was wondering if new decent tyres and tubes would make a difference.
Any clues if so and which ones would be best?

    I use Veloflex Record with Latex tubes on the front of my TT bike, rear is a disc/tub combo.
