hi, i need to get a new seatpost for my road bike (a merlin agilis) and i'm wondering whether i should stick with a thomson - or go for a ti (to match the frame) or a carbon post. I want something that will take the sting out and i have no idea as to whether a cf post will really make any difference (i had a thomson previously) - i found putting on my ritchey cf handlebars did make a difference so maybe cf does.....

any ideas, advice? many thanks for your help.
