I have recently bought some ITM Millenium Wings bars to put onto my Giant SCR Ltd which has Tiagra Sti dual control levers as standard fit. I have also bought a matching ITM 31.8mm stem.
How do I remove the STI levers?
Apologies in advance if this has been covered before but I have searched but nothing satisfactory has come up. I have also briefly looked at the Shimano website to no avail.
Help!!!!

Unwrap the tape carefully and you might be able to re-use it. If you look at the outside of the STIs there is a small indent, peel the hood back here and slip a 5mm allen key down there and turn counterclockwise.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

It's the 5mm allen socket that you need to loosen in the top-centre illustration - you don't need to unscrew the bolt all the way, just enough to easily slide the lever off the bar.Cycling weakly0

Thanks to all those who replied. I have now managed to get the job done and the new bars are very comfy especially on longer rides.
I followed the diagram that JohnnyAllez supplied and "hey presto", job done!!
Once again, thanks for the input.2017 YT Jeffsy 27 AL Comp
