Best saddle for inner thighs ?

After 7 hours in the saddle doing light cross country singletrack around Leith Hill yday, my innner thighs are all red and purple from catching the Specialized Phenom saddle on my bike as I was trying to get the weight back and place my body above the rear wheel on descents...
I am sure doing it properly is one solution but I would rather throw money at the problem... is there a saddle which is designed to make this easier to do that anyone would recommend ? I guess something with a thinner profile and sloped, extended side to prevent a sharp edge from rubbing up against the thigs ?
Thanks all

I have a Brooks B17 which has extended sides. There are narrower versions I think...

Thanks, but you use this on a MTB ? It looks too nice for that...
Also, I was looking for something that has extended sides at the widest point of the saddle, and is also as flat/contoured as possible there, as that is exactly the point at which my thighs rub against the saddle as I try to take my weight back and behind the saddle on descents. I could see this one working for roadies who place their thighs near the tip.BMC Pro Machine

Thanks. That WTB saddle was a good starting point. I bought a Shadow V off CRC for £18. Seemed the narrowest thing I could find which ticked off the other boxes, though I imagine this is not really for very long rides. We'll see. Thanks for the tip.BMC Pro Machine

If you like the Phenom, what about the new Specialized Henge?
I would look at your technique though, there's nothing much around Leith that requires you to be that far back, is your saddle too high or something?0 -
Well if you want to throw money at the problem, how about a dropable seatpost?http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg
