Evans have been pretty good about it, waiting to hear back from them on Monday. I've suggested a few options in a email to the MD.
I think it's time for another frame type really.
    LOL road riding.

Got a result, just waiting for the detail tomorrow.

Got to say, Evans MK (the person i've been dealing with) have been A1 at keeping me updated.
    LOL road riding.

I'm still a bit confused - are these cracks in the surface of the paint, or cracks in the structure of the frame itself...??

BMC say it's just the paint.

My concern is it's at a bonded junction on the frame so in a years time who knows what might happen.

Ive had two BMCs, a road racer SLO1 from 2008 and a race master SLX
both have had fantastic finishes, great fit and ride and no probs with the QC side of things so I wouldnt take this as a reason NOT to buy, all manufacturers have issues from time to time and a cosmetic flaw, while not great is not as bad as some Ive seen.
God I think Cervelos are renowned for having far more imperfections.

To back this up, BMC have quickly resolved my issues by warranty without any friction. If anything this topic highlights BMC as a wise investment.

Nice blanket statement ADIHEAD, makes you look well smart innit.
    LOL road riding.

KK, Evans/BMC have offered an upgrade to the SLX01 frame. I'm going for it.

if i ever get a bike back. called for an update today. no one knows anything, can't tell me anything. promised a call back, didn't happen.

i've had enough, it's been almost three weeks the second time around. i've complained to trading standards and their MD.
    LOL road riding.
  • Ive got the SLX01 from last year and its a graet frame- sounds like the issues youre having now are with Evans more than anything else - is that who you cpomplained to?
