And welcome to another week of chaos!

Looks like work's going to be a bit quiet this week due to the flight restrictions. :D

Weather is absolutely stunning today, not quite warm (yet), but no wind at all. The Bristol Channel was like a mill pond on the commute in.

Still awaiting stuffs to be delivered, although I think the delay for my stickers from the US is understandable.

How's everyone else this fine morning?

Today I shall mostly filling in a new database with 3D models and drawings. After which I shall build an EMC prototype and try to get my own Alpha unit working. Later there will be a party to celebrate being bought by Cisco where I shall make a valiant effort to leave early but end up getting slaughtered like usual.

    Work @ home today :¬)

Awaiting postie to deliver another (3rd) Garmin NAVTalk GPS phone (for another work colleague) , my long overdue CRC order and some other odds and ends...
Will also hopefully find out when my rear wheel will be ready for collection as it's in with what I suspect is a bearing issue.

Shall be breaking down the Sanction today for postage wednesday.

Shouldnt take more than an hour.

Need to nip up to the high street at some point to pick up a large TV box to ship it off in.

Need to get some bubble wrap and packaging stuff........

Apart from that, not much else, need to phone agency at some point ....

Still feel a bit ropey after too much sun yesterday, was only out in it for 2 hours, but obviously that was too long... LOL

Amazing weekend of boat fun (our little one loves it!), a great MTB ride and lots of sun.

More of the same please - but with some added surf!

New wheel being fitted tomorrow evening - can't wait!

    Good morning all,

Sun is just about breaking through here, was just about the right temp to ride in this morning. Saw a couple of other peeps on bikes this morning, they were ahead of me as we approached a set of traffic lights and they both RLJ’d. I stopped and waited, once the lights changed I caught an passed both, I did consider having a nag at them about it but couldn’t be bothered in the end, I don’t want to become some bike nazi.

Spent the morning at Ash ranges near Aldershot yesterday, they’ve got some good stuff there. It’s all a bit short and sharp on the runs so we did some “sessioning” of a lot of it, all to the sound of gunfire. But most importantly, the trails were dry!

My biggest dilemma this morning is my lack of mid morning snack, I may have to buy some cookies or crisps from the vending machine to get me through.

Jonas Støre (Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs) is downstairs borrowing one of my offices big T3 video conferencing systems to have a meeting in Lithuania. I've been trying to tell my friends that video is the way to go but no, they never listen. Now one of them is still stuck in London and another just had their business trip to Rome cancelled. Smug as fuck.
  • Today I've had to re-book a load of my meetings and arrange for people to be brought over on the ferry instead of the plane  I've got deadlines to meet this week and any delays come out of my pocket so I'm not very happy.

In fact, I'm so annoyed I think I might have to D-lock Iceland. cnuts!

However, this week I am mostly counting down to Llandegla on Sat. :D

    Long range forecast says:

    Mon: Sunny 8)
    Tues: Sunny 8)
    Wed: Sunny 8)
    Thu: Sunny 8)
    Fri: Bit cloudy :)
    Sat: RAIN!
    Sun: Bit cloudy :)

    Absofuckinglutely typical!

Still, on the bright side, rain means fair weather cyclists will stay at home so trails will be a bit emptier, and skin is waterproof.

Got up for work at 5:15am, went to my normal pickup location, stood there like a melon for half hour, couldn't get through to the bloke I work with, came back home and watched the F1 on iplayer....

So i've lost a days money but at least I can shoot down the PO and grab my new stem. Gonna have to recuperate some funds by putting a few bits up for sale in the classifieds.

Ridden Llandegla in rain, hail, sleet, snow and 38 degrees of sunshine. Have to say, riding in the heat was the worse...
  • To be fair though, doing anything in 38 deg heat, (other than drinking cold beer in an air conditioned room) is going to suck giant sweaty balls.

Rain is not so bad, it's the fact I'm coming over and going back on the ferry so I'll need to either sit there in soaking clothes or bring a change, which is a bit poo, but not a massive deal.

Morning fellow human beings, and cats!

I'm back at work, things got busy again today, and, as can be imagined, everything appears to have broken in the last 2 weeks of quietness. Oh well.

I've just filled my holiday card in for various holidays (Thursday and Friday this week, visitin a friend, Next friday, off up to GT for a campin holiday (with bikes) great stuff!) so lookin forward to that.
I'm absolutely broke though, I'm scared to look at my bank balance as I know I have barely any money left in my overdraft now :? I am collecting a new bonnet for my car tonight though, so that's quite exciting :D
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Folks are going to have to wait a few extra days at the moment for CRC parcels, as they're all air freight.

Not really, that would just be my riding...

How did the official opening of the Monkey trail go over the weekend? I'm thinking we should try and organise something social with a small amount of riding for early June...

It was wholly excellent. A socially ride sounds spot on.

i had put off the idea of getting a boat late last year but now it is so sunny, im really tying to figure out a way to afford a little speedboat type thing for jetting about on the medway, the weather would have been amazing for it this weekend just gone.

Sheeps - if you buy carefully, you can do the whole boating thing pretty cheaply.

Yes it's not peanuts but it's the best freedom you can have - doesn't matter how poor the traffic (which is dire in the Summer here), you can always bomb out and find a secret cove to anchor in or nearby.

    It really is paradise.
