MTFU this is mountain biking not Girl Guides... :twisted:0 -
Say that when you fall off, hurt yourself, and your mates the only one with a first aid kit.0
-
What they said.
first aid kit, with stuff for stings, eye bath and some wound closure strips because sometime you have to fix yourself as well as your bike.
As for pumps get a topeak mountain morph, it's about a big as you can carry but you will be grateful the first time you have to infate a tyre from flat.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0 -

Pretty similar to everyone else but one tip that I came up with that might be handy for you:
Rather than taking a map, take a photo of one using your phone (if it has a semi decent camera) then zoom in and out when needed - far easier than folding up a map.0 -
Depends when and where I am going. When I ride solo at night, as well as the usual stuff I carry a knife conforming to The Criminal Justice Act and a personal attack alarm given to me by the plod. In Spain, approved pepper spray made with 5% CS is available to anyone older than 18 years.0

I saw a really nice extra bit of kit that had previously slipped my thinking to pack this weekend - one of the lads we were out with had a beautiful stainless steel hipflask in his camelback, with etched Cannondale logo. Full of JD and coke!!!!! What a legend!0
