Cheers. I like it because the paint covers the luggs between the ally and the carbon. The later ones looked a bit cooler though because the seat stays came in lower on the seat tube.

How come you don't have the horn on it????

Nice bike, I understand why you're so protective of it, while i was away ali went in the shed to get his cube, chucked the orange onto the roadie and just left them lying on the ground the little barstool.

But yeah when you get the commencal (assuming you haven't found something else you want) can i have it?

I had to remove the horn sadly. certain amigos were not down with the horn so I had to banish it from my 'flight-deck'. It may well make a surprise appearance though in coming months, so keep listening folks!

Saw Matt's xtc a1 earlier, and i have to say his stays are soo much nicer than yours, but your colour is a lot nicer i think, pointless observation but anyways...

Yeah, I wish I had known they were changing the shape like that before I got mine but Im not complaining. I love bike.

Recent Mods include:

New Bottle cage (stainless)
Dual control levers for a fully out of control experience
Full Middleburn HC Chainrings with some bling blue bolts!







But sadly I also found a crack in the frame and its going back to Giant. They have been really good about it and are sending me out a 2009 frame as a replacement. I consider myself dead lucky but Im still going to miss the old one. The best bike I have ever had.

I think it just got worn out really and a crack appeared in the top of the seat tube, had expected it to last a bit longer than that though. I guess thats why Giant are sending me a replacement.

Was a nice bike,
there has been a few issues of Giants with a cracked frame??

cheers. It will be good again when the replacement frame comes back but there is a visible difference between them.

As for it being a recurring problem I dont know. I only know of one other frame like mine but Giant replaced it without even looking at it! so I guess they might have had a few with that fault. I wouldnt worry about yours though as its all ally right? Yours is the colour I would have chosen by the way, very smart.

I have decided to hold on to it till my birthday in March (which will be my 21st) and decide then. This means I may be able to cash in!

In the mean time im going to get a new helmet, glasses, new gear and shifters for my other bike.
