Bike Clubs +Manchester/Stockport

Hello

I recently purchased a road bike (Specialized Allez Elite) after commuting to work everyday on a Decathalon Hybrid. I'm now looking to join a bike club in the Manchester/Stockport area. I want to do some races, so want to get into a club to experience bunched riding, also to meet new people and basically have fun.

I've done some searching on the net and i am aware of bike clubs in the area like the Wheelers, Stockport Clarion etc so i'm basically after any advice from people in these clubs about which one would be best for me.

    Manchester Wheelers start most of there rides 5 mins from Cheadle

    Check for the one with Freehub in and go for the other lol.
    I've looked at Manchester wheelers, Stockport Clarion from what I've heard are a little more serious and I'm not that fast anymore.
    I do get bored though riding on my own at times.

    Woah I never seen this, you seriously trying to discourage someone from going into a club because I ride with them?
