commute bike no they are fitted jobs, the old roadie has no room for crud guards etc, with 23mm there isn't much between tire and brake.

My tourer/commuter has mudguards all year round. It rains more in summer than in winter

Just saying that's going to make it rain for 10 weeks now, thanks!!!
  • Crud race guards taken off the road bike and crud catcher off the MTB. Not bothered if I get wet and muddy now the temp is up. Both bike look crap imo with mud guards on.

I was thinking about removing my crud mudguards today, too - BUT I just know that it'll be raining tomorrow morning when I have to cycle in to work.

They've been making quite a few loud 'rubbing' noises lately, so perhaps my bike is tryinbg to tell me that it's time to 'let go'.

I find that the pads to keep them off the rim regularly fall off on the front, ended up buying some more and glueing them on.

Taken the extensions off for now to make it a bit more summery

Was thinking about this myself today but thought as soon as I do the wet stuff will fall from the clouds.

Took my Cruds off last week while singing "I want to break free". They are on standby.

Do they sell bikes without mudguards in Wales?

I think if you email Crud - they will send free replacements of small parts like these.
Don't know how many times they will do this , especially if the pads are falling off as regularly as yours.

Miy road cruds are staying on for now - my tyres are plain black (Specilaized Mondo) so the guards don't really affect the looks much IMO.

    Look.

    It's quite simple.

The only difference between Summer and Winter in the UK is that in the Summer, the rain is warmer.

Vertical rain = summer; horizontal rain = winter

Go to the crud site and look at the spares page and it will link to the pads fitted on the B&Q site.
