Back in the saddle

Making my first trip to Rivington in 6 years this morning.... Hoping to try for the Pike, somewhere I haven't cycled to in 10 years.

So if your in the area and see a long haired fat bloke on a blue GT, words of encouragement would be appreciated!

I'll take my time and try to get a feel for it.

Results :

made it to the top, big grin on my face.
Quite an impressive amount of swearing on my way back down. Brake pads smouldering by the time I got to the bottom, I'm not as brave as I was!
I need to look at the V-brakes, only about 2/3rds of them seem to hit the rim.

The last part of the climb was so much easier on my current ride, compared to my ancient Timberline FS.

It's good to be back on the bike.
