Sad day

Hi everyone,

I feel miserable, sad and angry. :cry:

My beloved Trek Fuel Ex 7 (2006) was stolen and I am absolutely guted. I had lots of rides planned for this summer as I think this year could be a good one (speaking of the weather), the rug has been pulled from under from me. :(

I ride road bikes mainly but like to go off road now and then, both for a bit of variety and to improve upon my bike handling skills and this year perhaps a race or two. I'm not much into jumps and drop offs, my interest centers on x-country.

Anyhow, not to be beaten and as I want to ride and have fun this coming summer and beyond, I'm looking for a replacement. Whilst at the bike show last year, the bikes from cube really caught my eye. I was wondering if anyone rides a full susser, in particular the Cube AMS Pro Elixir R.

All my bikes upto now have been from Trek (road and mtb) but I feel like looking for a change and riding something different. For example I've also been looking at road bikes made by Look and Focus for my next road bike, but that's for the road forum.

Budget wise the cube is spot on, I like the look of the spec, the weight is ok too and I really like it in black. I know I'll get feedback saying go and have a test ride, but I would like to read some independant feedback if possible. I know you guys here always give good opinions and advice, so I'm hoping you can give me some in my hour of need.

    Thanks for the reply wordnumb. I wish now I had taken pictures of it. Spent most of the night in bed awake thinking about what I've lost.

    I hadn't upgaded anything on it, only replaced like for like when parts wore out.
