Before I became addicted to MTB,I have been an avid watch collector. Once the bike bug bit me,I've been more than happy to get rid of my fancy watches to make funds for my bikes. Still, the watch bug needs to be fed sometimes. Here is my latest acquisiton,a cool, cheap and plasticine Gshock.
So,what's on your wrist when you ride ???[imgimmag0292.jpg[/img]

Just sent my Timex GPS Watch thingy to be repaired...again.
They want 33 English pounds to fix it. ( Which is about 1.5 Million Welsh pennies...)

So, the Mrs has promised me a "SPIFFY" new thing as it's me birthday next month.

So, ideas/suggestions welcomed. under a ton, look you, there's lovely, boyo, butty.

Riding and running - G Cool Gt-006 G Shock fully digi.

Any other time and surfing - Giez solar atomic GS1100

In the drawer never to be used - metal black ion G Shock cockpit. Still works, just prefer the Giez.

I only have the one watch (a Longines) so I ride with a naked wrist :)

I have a Polar S610 in my office draw for days when I cycle in to work though.

Nothing when I'm riding, except sometimes a Livestrong band.

Otherwise, I'll be wearing a Casio F-91W. You know the ones, the terrorist's favourite.

G Cool was £120 11 years ago(!) - now very cheap.

Giez (fully ana) was £95 delivered and I love it - got lucky on fleabay. Seen them on for £250!!

This is the one:

CASIO_GIEZ_GS-1100-1AER_PR.jpg

Resin strap makes it ideal for surfing but the stopwatch is cack - hence using the other watch for running and cycling!

Thanks, butty!
Admit it, you got a serious case of Technowhoredom, but who cares !!!
Like it, like it a lot. Hopefully, there's a conclusion to a Blame/Claim case for me soon, so hopefully the Solicitor Faries may help out.

I too love watches, I've spent a mint on branded analogue watches..

But.... times are a changing and now I have gone minimalist on my choice of timepiece and thanks to a certain Forum member I decided to go uber retro..
I wear the "terrorist timepiece"... the Casio F91W

Andy, thanks bro, best £6.50 I ever spent

I've got that one too. I love it. Just be sure not to take pictures near any US Embassy wearing it.

until today i would wear a casio pathfinder exactly like this:
casio_pathfinder_paw1500.png

might be the most technology ive ever owned, its atomic, solar powered, hell, it even tells the time!

i got a suunto x10 military today and it is so cool it would make your head spin:

Suunto-Watch-Suunto-X10M-Watch-Black.jpg

is a fully functional gps, on your arm. it even works in mils instead of degrees and will display your position in all formats including mgrs. it also tells the time.

i really love the look of a nice watch but am too poor to buy some of my faves. maybe when i retire i'll treat myself, only 9 more years exactly from sunday.

proper g shcks are made from plastic and are digital, anything else is an attempt at a fashion g shock.

i would say the mudman is the cream of the crop as it is the truest tough watch. shock resistant and filth resistant. perfect.

I have a few watches but these are the two I use the most.
omegashock.jpg
I'll let you guess which one is for riding.
Need to change the strap on the Gshock. Plastic straps kind of bug me, any suggestions?

Edit. Sorry Sups, you have bad taste in watches. My fiancée has a titanium Tissot, which is a hell of a lot nicer than that thing you posted.

It is an MTB watch;-). I was bought it, I am getting rid of it as is too big. I have a few watches, many a lot 'nicer' than that.

And my Omega is a hell of a lot nicer than yours lol. ;-)
