What a difference a couple of letters make.

Anyone else come across any signs where damage or vandalism has turned their innocuous meaning into something completely different.

    Probably a photoshop, but:

    Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
    Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
    Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX
  • Whenever I head down south along the A1, I'm always impressed at the thick layers of white paint on the signs to Shilbottle.

Ah, Alinshearah beat me to sharing the B3ta thread. My favourite is the Horse-drawn signs.

In my town there is an intersection that is very busy on three sides, and on the fourth, not so much, epecially back in the day. There is a four-way traffic light system at the intersection to control traffic. So far so good. Alas, the street that doesn't get much traffic had a typical light installed--red, yellow, green--but it did not fully work. It was designed so that you could only turn right out of the street, and not go across traffic, so the light remained red at all times.

Of course, people not being psychic about the static nature of the light, this naturally led to people waiting at the light for long stretches of time, and quite often through sheer frustration, just taking a break in the traffic and running a red.

Our local government, in it's brilliance, decided that solving the problem would require something more sophisticated than a mere "Stop" or "Right-turn only" sign.

Instead, it commissioned a unique sign and suspended it from the line thusly:

I'm told that the sign ended up on one of the late-night shows and we became quite the laughing-stock.
