Yepp, could apply to either Man Utd or Liverpool but today tis the latter:

I am no Liverpool fan but I might empty my penny jar, buy the club and then sack Benetiz just for the hell of it!

That "guaranteed" fourth spot is looking more remote than ever and sticking a For Sale sign up cannot help, surely?

' ...they have taken the club as far as they can'

What do they mean by that ? That they have taken the club as far in to debt as they can ?

Au contraire, best news of the season for Liverpool. Hopefully they will start to get a little more realistic about the asking price next.

a quid and being stupid enough to take on all that debt, which will need to be restructured again should they fail to get into Big Cup this year, ought to do it.

In a week that saw the 21st anniversary of the the Hillsborough disaster, those yanks aren't the worse thing that happened to the club!

Buy it on the same basis as the Glazers bought Man Utd...... full ownership but the club owes the money! All you need is banks willing to cash in and we know there are plenty of those

Been too long in coming in my opinion. Can't wait to get them out. Moore's and Parry have a lot to answer for selling it to those 2 muppets.

YEP best news we've had all season

get em out, that debt will be nothing to some arab prince and there are plenty of them that want football clubs just for a laugh. whilst not the right reason to buy a club, atleast they let the clubs run themselves. No sane british businessman will buy us but possible a formed consortium might.

either way, get the yanks shot, bin rafa and get jose, atleast 5 or 6 players below the expected standard need to go and be replaced by players that are worthy to pull on that awful looking shirt for next year

Let the club go bust. Then somebody will ahve to do something serious about the mess football is in. It's all well and good watching the likes of Pompey go tits up, but a big club will really make people take notice.
