None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Um yeah, hope it works out ok for the OP but it sounds like someone doesn't listen to or read the news in any format!

Yep good bike shop, they sold me a very reasonable pair of wheels after I trashed my front in one of the nasty cross street drain covers (with the holes running forward to back). Keep an eye out for those!

If you're after a stunning ride I strongly suggest the ride over the Col de Soller, lovely scenery and nice hairpins.
    "Impressive break"

For those who made it out here or coming next week, there is a timed sportive, 140kms, going over Coll de Monnaber (its what the tourists call Puig Major but its not really)
    More info here http://www.wheelsinwheels.com/duva/duva ... rtive.html

There is also another one, going the other direction, this Sunday: http://www.vueltamallorca.com/maxhurzel ... php?lng=en
Bring a mac for that one, Sundays gonna be wet!

Im not conneted with either of these companies but Ill probably be there!

Should have been going tomorrow myself but havenow rebooked the flights for Sunday on the chance we'll get there. Of cours, there are cyclists in Majorca who can't get back home so I suppose they'll have to put up with cycling about in the sun

    Hey I went last year.

Make sure you get to do the sa calobra pass. Its in the north in the mountains and it goes down to a little village on the sea. Its an amazing descent and well worth pedalling back up it :D

I don't think anyone (incl. myself) is flying anywhere for the next few days. Odd not to see jet-trails in the sky.

We were there in Feb. Stayed in Magaluf. Had a great week. Best route was Magaluf, Bunyola, Soller, Puig Major then down Sa Calobra & back up. We then headed towards Lluc & had lunch in Inca. On the flat then via Llosetta etc back to Magaluf. A couple of our lads ride the Premiers & were dishing it out all day....t'was epic!

I would recommend Magaluf as a base but wouldn't go any later than April due to the drunken ivasions. You've gotta have your climbing legs on though as it's up hill out & back in via Calvia or Puigpenyent(???)
