new singlespeed bike and spoilt for choice

My commuting ride has pretty much died now so I'm looking at replacing her. I'm buying a single speed but I'm spoilt for choice and apart from frame geometry there isn't much to set them all apart. I'm loving Charges Plug Racer and the slightly cheaper mongoose mourice, now I've just seen the NS Analog and they all look so sweet.
My budget is about £500 has anyone got some good advice to help steer me in the right direction.

Anyone got suggestions for single speed rides worth checking out?

If your budget is flexible then the Condor Tempo with fitted mudguards looks great.
I'm off to try out a Genesis Day One CX tomorrow, bit cheaper and sounds promising on paper.0 -
I got a Boardman Comp SC last autumn and have been pretty pleased with it. I got it on the C2W scheme so it only cost me £370 but even at £499 retail I thinks its great value. The wheelset is better than most at this price(Formula hubs,DB spokes, Mavic Open Sport rims) and at 8kg delivered its very light. The tyres are crap though(Conti Ultra Sports) so upgrade at the first chance. I was considering a Pearson Touche but tbh I couldn't see where the extra £100 was used. I was lucky because my local Halfords had some good staff who knew their stuff, you would have to decide if they are any good for you.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

I personnally like the Kona Paddy wagon if your looking for drop bars, flip flop hub so you can have it fixed or single speed, or if you want flat bars the cannondale quick gets a good review0

I'm just about to order my Pearson Touche, but this Ridgeback Solo has given me food for thought at that reduced price:

I ride a Pearson Hanzo. I'm very happy with it. Good service from Pearson's too.0

I have a Charge Plug, and I really dislike it! I tried out a Day One, not the cross, and I thought it was much more enjoyable to ride, but they didn't have a Cross, and I liked the colour scheme of the Cross. So I went for the Charge Plug instead!! Mistake! I also had a Giant Bowery, that was pretty good, it was quite a bit lighter, but it was a tad too small for me.0

Trek District is worth looking at too, although slightly over budget thanks to belt drive0

Genesis Day one or flyer.KHS also do a nice single speed for this kind of money.2006 Giant XTC
2010 Giant Defy Advanced
2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4
2017 Canondale Supersix Evo0 -
I ride an On-One Pompino which I love riding. They do it with a choice of bars so you can pick whatever suits you. Fitting mudguards was a bit fiddly but I think it's make a pretty good commuting bike.0
