They are slated on here from time to time so I wanted to share an excellent experience of Halfords.

I bought a Boardan Hybrid Pro in late 2008 - It's a great bike for commuting and have covered about 3000 miles on it since. From the start of this year however I've had 3 broken spokes. On the third occasion Halfords, despite the bikes age and mileage have replaced both wheels with those from the current model. They also stripped down and sorted out the headset too at the same time.

This was all completely free of charge.

Well done and thanks Halfords.

Meantime my LBS still haven't decided after a month whether they can fix or replaceme a faulty front light which cost £120+ only 3/4 months ago.

  • Which Halfords was it? The problem with them seems to be you never know which store takes bikes seriously and thinks about customer service. You seem to have found a good one. So tell us!

What wheels does the boardman come with?

Sorry been watching THE debate (yawn) - The wheels are Ritchey OCR. Twice as many spokes as the XeroLites it had on before so should be much more up to the job.
