Right, i replaced the rear wheel on my Specialized hardtail last year as the original had given up.

I bought a Shimano XT hub (6 bolt) laced to a Mavic EN521 rim (due to being 16 Stone & 6 foot 2) I thought this would be a nice strong rear wheel.

The bike is used on a daily basis to and from work (off steps and embankments etc) and also at weekend for a bit of 4X.

Now ive noticed that if im manualling, with all my weight over the back wheel, it seems to 'clink'. It does very much sound like the spokes are loose, but they all feel fine.

it only does this in a manual, and only whilst my weight is over to the left and side of the bike too...

I never took the wheel to be trued and tensioned after a couple of weeks of riding as advised, so should I get this done?.... Or should i check something else?

The wheel is about 6 months old.

get the wheel looked at just to make sure and rule it out or in.
