Was looking at getting an Edge 705 for my roadie now that I know you can use the OpenSteetMap maps on it. I have the HR monitor from my old 305, so I'm looking for a good price on the 705 and cadence sensor, if you can get a pack with just those in it.

Best price I've seen so far was EBuyer at just a smidge under £293.

  • Try handtec. They nearly always seem to be cheapest when anyone asks. I got mine from them with no problems.
Who you gonna believe? Me or your own eyes?
  • £270 without maps or £298 with UK & Ireland. Don't know what the company are like but they have phone support and online instant support:

I've tried the Openstreet Maps on my 705 and I wasn't too impressed. They didn't get every turn and roundabouts were a bit hit or miss, I guess it depends on how good the coverage is in your area. I went back to using the Garmin maps.

But you could give it a go and if it dosn't work out try the Garmin ones. Handtec seem to have good prices.
  • I second the note of caution on OSM maps. Great for general guidance, and the whole open mapping effort is a really staggering thing, but their turn info can be lacking.
