I'm looking to get a nice old road bike in tip top condition, possibly a refurb job with new components. Are there any sites and dealers in particular that deal with this? Ebay is frustrating and i've been burnt already in search of a bike.

57-60 cm (i'm 5,11")

Ah-ha, brilliant, thanks for that link. I started a thread on Weight Weenies about something similiar (where to look for a vintage steel to use as a new winter bike), and the thread was locked for "not being in the spirit of weight weenies".

Yes, the 'racer' I had in my youth was probably made from drainpipes and lead piping. I think they used to call it 'solidly built'.
