Hi
I've been running Look Keo carbons for a while but have more recently been suffering slightly in the knee department and pedals are due a replacement anyway. i am choosing between the new Time iClic carbon, Keo Blade carbon and the seedplay zero stainless. there's no opportunity to try before you buy and at £130 a set i want to get it right! has anyone got any experience with the new systems from look and time? seedplay zero look good but expensive if you need to replace cleats/axles every so often...
Thanks,
Gareth

Question. Is it true about replacing pedal axles in Speedplays? Never heard of such a thing as far as pedals go. Have NEVER done this to any pedal I've ever owned. Replaced cleats? Yes, but axles???? Anyone?

Crank Bros offer good float if you suffer in the knee department. You can get some 2009 bargains at CRC at the moment, link over there ->

For £20 or £30 it might be worth having a try...

I would go for the Time iClics. I have recently bought them and I am a convert, they are AMAZING!

I have work related arthritic knees, speedplay light action seem very good, lots of play. Some say the lightness give a feeling of insecurity but I have twiddled downhill at 140 revs + on fixed and honked up fairly steep hills pulling up on them as well. I have remained in them and have the greatest of confidence using them.

  • Another one for speedplays. I've been using mine for ages now and I've had no problems. They do recommend that you grease the pedal every so often.
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!
