Does anyone have any advice on bike insurance?
Any good/bad experiences?
Any particularly good/bad insurance companies?
Anything in particular to watch out for/be aware of?
I've had a look at Cyclecover and Cycleguard...
Thanks

Most specialist insurers are hideously expensive (10% of bike value per year) and have a load of stringent T&Cs (exactly what locks you must use, what they're anchored to etc.). By far the easiest is to get them insured under normal house contents but you need to check the policy details for these to.
M&S (who I use) are well regarded as they have very little in the T&Cs to catch you out and have a track record of settling claims without much fuss (although I'm sure there are exceptions). they aren't particularly cheap but you don't even have to name bikes on the policy if they're below £4k each.0 -

Not that I bother with specialist cycle insurance myself, but when this question gets asked on Veloriders forum, which it often does, then Marks & Spencer is always regarded as the best option.0 -
Anyone used E&L (www.eandl.co.uk) - Comes out about £55 cheaper than CycleGuard with £1m PL as well for £1100, seems to cover all the same things at a quick glance.0
