I asked about loud rear hubs a while ago but im struggling to find one that has 24 holes. :(

can someone reccommend one? i'm using campagnolo record. afaik the record hubs are loudish but I cant see a 24h version.

could I use a 36h and have a safe wheel?

Not sure what you're asking. You do or don't want a loud hub? Or are only looking for 24 holes? In a loud hub? I'm confused. As I often am.

The Halo hubs are pretty loud and available in 24h versions - http://www.halorims.com/Halo/products-details.php?id=HUHAMS2K

I have a 24h PMP hub that is the noisiest out of everyone I ride with. Really nice hub too.

You could buy a cheapie one, clean the lube out, fill it with metal shavings, and I'm sure it would, sooner than later, get really loud for you.
Wait. You want noise??? Just put playing cards on your front fork so that the spokes hit them. Did that as a kid. Worked every time.

only if you use a 36h rim. with a 24h rim you couldnt get a uniform spoke pattern, you would have a spare hole after every two spokes. now if you had a 48h hub you could use every other hole and still have symetry.
