£750 to spend on new trail mountain bike

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help I am looking for a new bike I have only 750 to spend on this bike. I do alot of almost down hill just without all the jumps. I know it not alot of money but it is a start really. I was told that I can get felt compulsion bike 2008 model but cant find one at that price.

What sort of DH do you do ie size of drops and jumps?

I dont really do down hill as such I muck about on there fast tracks but no jumps as yet dont have the bike for air really. I have hard tail but want dual for trail more then down hill. if cant then something for 750 on hard tail will have to be.

I will have to wait and see . i am going through cycle to work to get it but have got the 750 voucher so dont think will allow me to go over that much . was looking at the khs alite 3000 but they are arguing with halfords to try and get it through the scheme from khs them self.

I not really fan of gt so still looking reay . I ow it only a label but just never really liked them to be honest not sure why though lol.

lol dont laugh . I have a carerra krakin 08 has done me well but forks and breaks are vain of my life when on dirt track that is wet lol

I have a cindercone 2010 and just been over ladybower at the weekend and she held up well shame the spd's didnt so the v8's are back on
