Guided Ladies ride at Cannock Chase

To celebrate the opening of the Monkey Trail and the revised leisure routes, there's a big launch event this Saturday, April 17th! There will be:

* Skills sessions for Beginner and Intermediate riders!

* Oli Beckingsale!

* And a Ladies guided ride!

The Ladies ride will be tailored to the group, so if there's a lot of beginners they won't be dragged down the black sections. The ride will be led by Veronica from Swinnerton Cycles Forest Centre, and starts from Swinnos at 11.30am. It'll probably be about 1.5 hours, and take in various bits of green, blue and red trails. So if you fancy a taste of testoterone free mountain biking, come along!

Be warned, I'll probably be whinging about how s**t Nissan Micras are though...

That is SOOOO tempting. I'm in Leicester this weekend though. Do you think they'll do that kind of thing again? Cuz I'd be well up for it!

We're doing a rally on Saturday, otherwise I would have been totally up for this! Can you post if another one is planned?

I've never ridden with a group of girls before but i'm pretty sure it would be a much more pleasant experience than very fast testosterone-fuelled sweaty blokes!!

I'd so be up for this, but we are skint, unless I can really beg a loan off my olds.....I was supposed to be going to Cannock for the first time next month but the hubby is having an operation on the 10th May so I can't get there and I REALLLLLLLLY want to try Cannock

It went really well, good turn out! There was the slight humiliation of the only one amongst our number who rode the most terrifying parts was an eight year old girl!

It was quite funny to see her just bomb over the Werewolf Drop and up and over Evil Root Number Two whilst so many riders (and not just ladies!) were bottling it!

Quite a few of us agreed it was nice to ride without our man-slaves, so we're looking at organising something a bit more regular. Watch this space!
