Tyre choice - Malverns

I'm going to be in the Malverns weekend of the 24th April - never been there before, trying to decide what boots to put on the bike - any suggestions? - muddy, loose, smooth........?

    Sometimes muddy on the ascent. Most of the tracks on top will be dry by now. Generally a mixture of sandy soils, gravel and stones. Always windy.

    It's a popular with families and has a high dog/granny/pushchair count. Generally quieter at south end.
