It is that time again! The Midland Women’s Time Trial Series begins on 1st May.

If you like the idea of time-trialling, but are put off because you think you are too old or too slow, our friendly Series could be for you.

Competitors are judged on their best three performances (out of seven events) and there are awards for Best Improver, Actual Performance and for Veterans.

Over the last three years, the Series has attracted novices who have never time-trialled before. It has also attracted experienced riders, who have appreciated the opportunity to compete against other women.

You don’t need special equipment, just the ability to ride around a 10 mile course.

  • I have just received the start sheet for the first event of the Midland Women's TT Series.

A staggering 57 women have entered the Diana Cooke Memorial 10 next Saturday. That is quite a turnout. The blokes ride after the women - they'll have to motor if they expect there to be any cake left at HQ.

Let's hope that most of these 57 decide to sign up for the full Women's Series.
