How do you remove the crankarm of a 2010 deore chainset

Hi
can any body help??? I need to remove the non drive side crank arm on a 2010 deore chainset. These are normally self extracting but how ??? Or does it need a certain tool???

It is secured by two 5mm allen bolts - imagine the system works like a headset, where the crank arm is the stem and the axle is the steerer.0
