After reading that article I would hope somone would have after the amount of our money they have spent on it!!

    The government borows £500 Million every day. Not surprising when you see this sort of project.

    Feh. I've always preferred CycleStreets, but then I sort of got into cycling from mapping for OpenStreetMap anyway (in a very roundabout way). Now I stick newly discovered cycle routes/roads on OSM, and they're available for everyone.

    the transportdirect web site has been running for a few years, albeit probably very quietly as commercial or niches sites do bits themselves. They seem very good for timetable/roadmap stuff.
