I work and live out in the wilds of Ukraine at the moment, in a place called Slavutich and don't have a bike out with me for various reasons, however I've started running for exercise and I did my first 5k yesterday at the Chernobyl Memorial Half Marathon event.
Not a brilliant time of 31 minutes 22 seconds but I am happy with that, I had three ambitions not to come last, not to be over taken by someone doing the 10k and not to be beaten by the Slavutich Ladies over seventies contingent. All three ambitions acheived.
I probably will be buying a bike out here, the local bike shop specialises in bicycle shaped objects, so I will have to go to Kiev for it.
