Just saw there's a big demo at Laggan in a couple of weeks... I've never been there, don't have a car so it's hard to get a bike up but I could take the motorbike up and make use of the demo fleet for a day I reckon. But, has anyone done a demo there, was it possible to get in a decent ride?

  • Yeah, I've been to a few. They're great. You can take a bike round the trails and get a good descent ride. You can take it out a few times too if you are keen. On top of that it's a great atmosphere, burgers, post demo beers, cake (the cake there is probably the best of any trail centre!!!) and loads of people milling about. I loved it. We normally stay over nearby so we can hang about more.

You will end up queuing a bit if you want the 'popular' bikes but never that long IME.

I went in 2008 and it was brilliant. Like you're planning, I headed over on the motorbike which is a great run from Aberdeen. They have showers there so you can have a clean up before heading home. A great day out.
I was thinking of putting up a post to see if there are any bikers in the Aberdeen area who fancy heading over this year.

Cool, sounds like a goer then. I might get a B&B and go for a ride after, some of the roads up there are just ridiculous 8)
