Front XT Mech

I 'm upgarding my Shimano LX drivetrain with XT on my Charge Duster. I've found the reviews and buying advice threads real helpful for the rear mech, decided on the XT Shadow M772 SGS for a 11-32T/ 44-32-22, sound about right?
I'm struggling with the front mech though as there are more options than the rear. I've narrowed it down to either the M770 or M771 but then have a choice of the four below

Can anyone let me know what the differences are, pros and cons and maybe advise me which I should go for? I took pictures of my current mech but can't attach so will PM them if needed
Cheers

If there's nothing wrong with your current front mech, I'd be tempted to leave well alone. A front mech is a simple device that either works or it doesn't.
But, if you must, I would say the 770 top swing is your best bet. It'll do either top or bottom pull (think your frame is top pull) and should come with shims to fit different seat tube sizes.
The 771 conventiaonal swing may work, but it might interfere with you seat tube bottle cage mounts, so stick with the 770.0 -
Thanks for that. I still can't get these photos uploaded, apologies. Is it right then that with the conventional swing the band clamp is fixed higher than the mech and the top swing it is below the mech?
I found this picture from the Evans site, not the greatest I know but can you tell if this front mech is top swing or conventional?

Yeah, conventional swing has the frame band higher up, but as you've got bottle cage bosses on your seat tube, I'd play safe and get the top swing version.0
