Club 10 year Celebrations
Afan Magical Mystery Tour! Supporting Air Ambulance
To Celebrate our 10 years as a club and also 10 years since the Penhydd trail (9foot.com as it was known), we are running a Trail Quest event on 23rd May 2010.
We know Foresty Commission are working in the area, but we have special permission to use parts of the penhydd trail for this event.

A GREAT DAY OUT FOR ALL THE FAMILY.
Discover the many trails that surround the classic routes of the Penhydd and the Wall. Test your map reading skills and fitness in this trailquest event. Simply navigate your way around the forest collecting as any checkpoints as possible within the time limit.
We have a family 2 hour and a 4 hour main event based at the Tymaen Car park near Afan Argoed Forest Centre. Catering and toilets on site. Costs include trailquest map.
Start time, 10 am onwards
Some useful info:
Singletrack Mind Mountain Bike club, Forestry Commission Wales, and other parties helping in this event, cannot be held responsible for any injuries you may sustain. It is your responsibility to make sure your bike and riding equipment are suitable for the event.
Cycling is a healthy, fun outdoor activity, but like all such activity it has a slight risk of injury, so we recommend taking appropriate equipment.
Minimal Kit: To help reduce risk, we insist on all participants wearing
a properly fitted cycle helmet (this has to be worn while riding).
Please bring/wear appropriate clothing for the day.
A toolkit for punctures (patches, tyre lever, pump) may help save your ride.
You will be away from shops so ensure you bring water and food for several hours of riding.
