New chainring recommendation

Hi,
My Ultegra drivetrain is wearing out and I'd appreciate any recommendations for replacement chainrings.
I'm currently on a 53/39 double, but think I might prefer a 51 tooth big ring to encourage me to change up a little earlier. I'm not too fussed about this though.
Budget is a consideration. Anyone know of a bargain?
What are the alternatives to Shimano? Does anyone have experiences with the TA or FSA chainrings?
Cheers,
Ed

I recently changed my Sram Red to Stronglight CT2 52/37 (there are huge variety of sizes available) and they are fantastic!0

Spa Cycles have a range of Stronglight chainrings. Dural is the budget option (£15 for a 51).More problems but still living....0

I got mine from Spa, they were a pleasure to deal with!0

Cool!
That's what I wanted. Plenty of choice and prices.
Thanks for the replies.0 -
9speed i guess,you can get a stronglight chainring from ribblegoing downhill slowly0

good timing with this post.. so would those stronglight chainrings be fit for replacing my ultegra sl 53 and 39 ? they are looking rather worn and things beginning to get a little kind of crunchy under load, new cassette and chain are already on the shopping list.0

Just being my usual *sshole self and trying to be contrary I would ask what you meant by the word "fantastic"? How is a chain ring fantastic? Other than price? :? :?0 -
No experience of Stronglight, but have been very pleased with TA products in the past.
Not the cheapest, mind you.0
